My wife has had many people approach her and shyly say, "what kind of perfume are you wearing… I just love it!" They are shocked when she tells them it's a perfume called "Poison". It seems like an oxymoron that something so pleasing could have such an awful name.
Many people love your good manners, ethical conduct and winning disposition. But when they find out it is because of the name "Jesus", they are surprised! Why?
To some, Jesus is a stumbling block… a rock of offense. They are convicted of their selfish lifestyle. They are not rejecting YOU, but they are offended at THE NAME that is above every name.
To others, you are modeling a 'living relationship with God', instead of the dead, religious ritual to which they are accustomed. It is refreshing to them to smell the REAL THING!
Keep wearing the fragrance that has shock value. Jesus is the perfume for which people are really looking. They just don't know it yet!
But with your help, THEY WILL!
